1963年，吳大鼻先生創立了「鋼筆大王」，從事鋼筆和眼鏡的批發業務。 後來，店面於1972年遷至雲林縣元長鄉，開設了首家專營眼鏡的店鋪， 成為當地第一家眼鏡行「第一眼鏡行」。 In 1963, Mr. Da-Bi Wu, focusing primarily on wholesaling fountain pens and eyewear. Originally located on Renwu Road in Keelung City, it later relocated to Yuanchang Township, Yunlin County, in 1972, where it inaugurated its first dedicated eyewear store, becoming the area’s premier destination for eyewear under the banner of “ The First Optical Store”.
吳志明先生和陳央央女士接手父業，將其重新命名為「東亞眼鏡行」。
自此，東亞眼鏡行以其「資深老店，不敢言大，但求專精」的理念聞名於雲嘉南地區，深受顧客喜愛。
In 1986, Mr. Chih-Min Wu and Ms. Yang-Yang Chen took over the store from father and rebranded it as “East Asia Optometry.”
Since then, East Asia Optometry has earned renown throughout the Yunlin-Chiayi region for its commitment to expertise over grandeur,
characterized by its modest décor and personalized service, endearing it to customers.
為提供更專業的眼睛健康服務，東亞眼鏡行於2011年擴建了臺灣眼視光專業中心，
第三代經營者吳杰霖博士和吳承臻老師引進澳洲的行為驗光學和視覺訓練，進一步提升了驗光流程的品質。
In 2011, East Asia Optometry expanded its offerings by establishing the Taiwan Optometry Clinical Centre to provide specialized eye health services.
Dr. Chieh-Lin (Stanley) Wu and Ms. Chen-Jen (Alexia) Wu, the third-generation leaders,
introduced advanced practices such as behavioral optometry and vision training from Australia,
refining the optometric process.
In 2017, the Taiwan Optometry Clinical Centre expanded with the opening of the Fengshan Branch in Kaohsiung, implementing an exclusive appointment system with personalized service by Ms. Chen-Jen (Alexia) Wu.
In 2024, Dr. Chieh-Lin (Stanley) Wu officially took the helm of East Asia Optometry and the Taiwan Optometry Clinical Centre, continuing the family legacy of delivering superior eyewear and eye health services to meet the evolving needs of customers.
