今年四月，東亞眼鏡公司／東亞驗光所團隊參與 APOC 2026 亞太視光研討會（Asia Pacific Optometric Congress），與來自亞太各地的視光與視覺科學專家齊聚一堂，交流最新臨床與研究發展，持續拓展國際視野。

本次由 東亞眼鏡公司楊佳蓉行為視光師與吳杰霖教授（中山醫學大學 / 臺灣眼視光專業驗光所），攜手中山醫學大學視光學系及中山醫附醫視覺復能中心團隊共同發表，分享一例「中風後長者功能性視覺復能」的成功個案，展現學術與臨床合作的實踐成果。
此案例顯示，即使在中風後的非急性期，透過系統性的視覺評估與個別化介入，仍可促進神經可塑性，並改善視覺功能與日常生活表現，也再次展現視光專業在跨領域神經復能中的重要角色。

會議期間，我們也與多位國際學者交流，包括新加坡的 Dr. Tiong Yap、IACLE 的 Dr. Lakshimi 與 Prof. Park、菲律賓的 Dr. Carmen 與 Dr. Dolly、墨爾本大學的 Prof. Algis Vingrys，以及澳洲 ACBO 的 Dr. Paul Graham 與 Meredith Graham，在雙眼視覺、近視照護、視覺神經復能與臨床應用等領域，獲得許多寶貴交流機會。

未來，東亞眼鏡公司／東亞驗光所將持續深耕功能性視覺評估與視覺復能，結合國際趨勢與在地臨床經驗，為不同年齡層與需求的民眾提供更完整且個別化的視覺照護服務。

In April, the team from East Asia Optometry participated in the APOC 2026 (Asia Pacific Optometric Congress), joining optometry and vision science professionals from across the Asia-Pacific region to exchange the latest clinical insights and research developments, while continuing to expand our international perspective.

This year, behavioral optometrist Chia-Jung Yang (East Asia Optometry) and Prof. Chieh-Lin Stanley Wu (Chung Shan Medical University / Taiwan Optometry Clinical Centre), in collaboration with the Department of Optometry at Chung Shan Medical University (CSMU) and the Vision Rehabilitation Center at CSMU Hospital, presented a case on functional vision rehabilitation in an elderly post-stroke patient.
This case demonstrates that even beyond the acute stage of stroke, structured visual assessment and individualized vision rehabilitation can still promote neuroplasticity and improve visual function and daily performance. It further highlights the important role of optometry in multidisciplinary neuro-rehabilitation.

During the conference, we also had the opportunity to connect with distinguished colleagues, including Dr. Tiong Yap (Singapore), Dr. Lakshimi and Prof. Park (IACLE), Dr. Carmen and Dr. Dolly (Philippines), Prof. Algis Vingrys (University of Melbourne), and Dr. Paul Graham and Meredith Graham (ACBO, Australia). These interactions provided valuable insights across areas such as binocular vision, myopia care, neurovisual rehabilitation, and clinical applications.

Moving forward, East Asia Optometry will continue to advance functional vision assessment and vision rehabilitation, integrating international perspectives with local clinical expertise to provide more comprehensive and personalized vision care for people of all ages.
